This site is dedicated to the collection and publication of all information in regards to the adverse effects witnessed in patients who have been taking Champix™, Chantix™, (Varenicilne) as a method of smoking cessation.  There have been numerous reports in the press associating extremely erratic and “out of character” behaviour including suicide, suicidal ideation and violence among others whilst taking this drug. 

 

The purpose of this site is to collect information from other people who have also experienced adverse reactions so that we can insure these drugs are proportionately monitored by the medical community, the manufacturer Pfizer and the respective governing bodies responsible for pharmacovigilance.  I believe this drug can be a positive thing if taken by the right individual and if the patient is correctly monitored and informed.

Interesting video released by the FDA (Food & Drug Administration) in the US which was subsequently removed.  I wonder if Pfizer had any influence in this decision? being the worlds #1 pharmaceutical giant.
